Obituary for Ataysheo Mike Smith




Ataysheo Mike Smith, age 37 of Montgomery was born on September 30, 1982 in Charleston, WV to Mary Jane Smith and Alonzo Mike Miller Sr. Tay accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Eagle Central Baptist Church, in Eagle, WV.

On late Sunday night October 27, 2019 at Montgomery General Hospital in Montgomery, WV the lord called Tay home. Tay worked for Napa Distribution Center in Nitro, WV. He had a passion for building & working on old school cars. He was a loyal fan to the Washington Redskins alongside with his favorite Uncle Artie “Boo Boo” White & no matter win or lose they stuck with them. He never met a stranger and his smile and laugh will be missed by so many.

Left to cherish his memories are his most precious daughter and twin sons Ataysheawna Mary Smith, Christayveon Alexander Smith, and Ataysheon Christian Smith of Charleston, WV. 3 sisters; his twin sister Atesha Mikel Smith of Dallas, Texas, Carrie Rachel Miller of Saint Albans, WV, and Jessica Monique Smith of Montgomery, WV. One brother Alonzo Mike Miller Jr., of Handley, WV along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Jane Smith, father Alonzo Mike Miller Sr. brother Alonzo Mike Smith. His grandparents Dorothy Louise Smith and Henry “Sonny” Smith, Ruby Louise Miller and John Edward Miller. Aunts Drema Daphne Evans, Nellie “Mae” Evans, Alice English, Billie Jo Adams, Johnetta Louise Miller. Uncles Artie “Boo Boo” White, Willie Charles Evans Sr. and Henry English.

Service will be at 1PM on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. William I. Kinney officiating. Burial will follow at Montgomery Memorial Park, London.
